About this game

Prisoner's Dilemma is the classic game theory experiment: each round you and your opponent secretly choose to cooperate or defect. Mutual cooperation pays well, but betraying a trusting partner pays even more, until everyone does it. Face one of 18 bots built on famous strategies from Axelrod's tournaments, including Tit for Tat, Grudger, Pavlov, Gradual and the extortionate Zero-Determinant, or pick a mystery bot and try to figure out how it plays. Adjust the number of rounds and the chance of random mistakes, or run a full round-robin bot tournament and see which strategy comes out on top. Play with keyboard (C and D) or mouse in your browser.
